Campaigns & Creator Links

Group a link with the influencers promoting it, hand each one their own ref link, and see revenue per creator, no code required.

A campaign is a named folder that holds one or more links and the influencers promoting them. Every influencer you add gets their own copy of every link in that campaign, tagged with their name, automatically. This page covers running one end to end.

Create a campaign

Open Attribution > Campaigns and click Create campaign. All it needs is a name, for example "Summer launch". You will land on the campaign's own page next.

Click Add link on the campaign page. This sends you to the normal link creation flow, already scoped to this campaign and domain, so every influencer you add afterward automatically gets a personal copy of it. A campaign can hold more than one link, useful when a launch points at more than one landing page.

Add an influencer

Click Add influencer and fill in their Instagram handle, display name, avatar, follower count, and a short bio. All of this is typed in by hand, nothing is pulled from Instagram automatically.

The moment they are added, they show up with their own ?ref=<handle> copy of every link in the campaign, ready to copy and hand out.

Watching revenue come in

The campaign page opens with the same overview as the main Attribution page, scoped to just this campaign: revenue tracked, revenue actually credited to an influencer, and a day by day chart. Below that, a "who's driving the most revenue" ranking updates as sales are matched back to each creator's link.

Revenue only shows up here once purchases are actually being reported to Smler. That happens one of two ways, and you do not need to pick just one:

  • Connect your store on the Integrations tab, Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe, or Polar, no code needed.

  • Have a developer wire up the server side conversion call, see the Developer Quickstart.

The Influencers tab

The Campaigns tab scopes everything to one campaign. The Influencers tab (next to it) shows every creator across every campaign and every link on the domain, with clicks, sales, revenue, and typical days to purchase, filterable by link and by time range. This is the one to check when you want a single leaderboard across everything you are running.

A normal short link only tells you about the click. A Smler attribution link keeps the creator's name attached to that visitor for up to 400 days (see Settings & Privacy to change the window), so a purchase made weeks later, on a different device, still gets credited to the right creator, as long as the visitor was identified at some point (signup, login, or checkout) in between.
